This harness is designed for everyday walking and general leash handling. It is not an escape-proof harness. Dogs that regularly reverse out of harnesses or are escape-prone may need a specialised escape-resistant harness with additional retention points.

A properly adjusted harness should feel secure while allowing your dog to move comfortably.

1. Check the Strap Tightness

Adjust the straps for a snug, comfortable fit. As a general guide, you should be able to slide two fingers beneath the straps without forcing them.

2. Check Around the Front Legs

Ensure the harness doesn't press against your dog's armpits or interfere with their natural leg movement. Watch for any rubbing as your dog walks.

3. Keep the Harness Centred

Adjust the straps evenly so the harness sits securely without twisting or sliding excessively.

4. Test the Fit

Take a short, supervised walk to check that the harness stays in position, allows comfortable movement, and cannot easily be slipped out of.

Important: Check for redness, rubbing, or discomfort. If irritation occurs, remove the harness and reassess the fit. If adjustments don't resolve the problem, the harness may not be suitable for your dog's body shape.
